Deborah Hewson is a visual artist based in Dublin, Ireland. Primarily a sculptor, her practice is influenced by her interest in the environment, the circular economy, and the coastal location where she lives. While participating in the residency she is experimenting with the Mokuhanga printing process (Japanese Woodblock) with a view to integrating it into her practice.
She graduated from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin (NCAD) in 2014 and was awarded a BA (Hons) in Fine Art (Sculpture). In 2020, she received a Postgraduate Certificate in Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship from Trinity College, Dublin.
